Все алко-зомби, обратите внимание! Многие богатейшие люди мира ведут абсолютно трезвый образ жизни, но при этом не прочь заработать на лохах, покупающих яд-наркотик алкоголь!

Donald Trump And Nine Other Teetotalling Moguls.

Donald Trump, 420th on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires and next week’s guest on Intelligent Investing With Steve Forbes, is no stranger to making a deal. Unlike many moguls, however, you won’t find him discussing business over a nice glass of scotch. Trump, known as much for his reality shows The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice as he is for his business acumen, is a teetotaler.

“I don't drink, and it's very easy for me not to drink,” Trump told Forbes when they chatted in the Forbes Townhouse. “I tell people, ‘What are you drinking for?’ And they don't even understand what I'm saying.”

Trump isn’t alone in his decision to avoid booze; a fair number of powerful moguls and mavens have chosen to stay off the sauce for various reasons. Some choose not to drink because of health reasons – billionaire and Dole Food Company chairman David Murdock has a notoriously strict diet regimen, while Apple founder Steve Jobs has a history of liver problems. Others, like Stephenie Meyer, abstain for religious reasons; the Twilight author, who came in at #59 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 last year, is a devout Mormon.

For Trump, teetotaling was ingrained in him by his older brother Fred, who struggled with alcoholism.

“I learned a lot from my brother, Fred,” Trump told Forbes. “He set an example. It wasn't, maybe, the example that people would think, but it really was, in its own way, an example. That here was this fantastic guy, who got caught up in the alcohol, and he ultimately died from alcoholism.”

“I used to say that I didn't drink because of Fred, I would never drink.”

It should be noted that avoidance of liquor, for many of these magnates, doesn’t extend to business. Billionaire Warren Buffett, whose drink of choice is a strawberry milkshake, has invested in alcohol distributors like Empire Distributors. In fact, Trump himself markets a line of Trump Vodka.

Ten Teetotalling Moguls

Donald Trump

Real Estate Mogul

No. 420 on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires

Trump told Steve Forbes: "It's very easy for me not to drink, and I don't understand people that drink, because if you don't start--I assume it's a major addiction--but if you don't start, it's real easy. So I tell my kids, 'Don't start.'"

Warren Buffett

Legendary Investor

No. 3 on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires

Buffett said in a lecture at Notre Dame: "It's the weakest link that causes the problem. It may be alcohol, it may be gambling, it may be a lot of things. It may be nothing, which is terrific. But it is a real weakest link problem."

Steve Jobs

Apple Founder and CEO

No. 110 on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires

Jobs was a part of President Obama's Technology Summit dinner. In the much-circulated photograph of the group's dinnertime toast, Jobs is holding a glass of water.

David Murdoch

Chairman of Dole Foods

No. 376 on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires

Murdock's strict diet includes abstention from alcohol, as well as sugar, meat and salt.
