Is there grammar rule which says what cyrillic alphabet letter to replace with some latin alphabet letter or that is everyone's choice?
There are official transliteration tables and common rules. But some people can use non-common patterns for some letters. For example letter "й" is commonly replaced with "y", but some people replace it with "j". Some other people use "j" for "ж" which should be replaced with "zh" according to common rules.
